Mock Trial
Mock Trial team members role-play court situations, engaging in a simulated civil or criminal trial, filling the roles of the attorneys, witnesses and defendants. Volunteers, often attorneys, preside over the fictitious trial and serve on the panel of judges who crown the winning teams. Members compete at local, state, and national levels.
As Marian High School students participate in Mock Trial, they recognize the benefits of understanding and appreciating the American legal system. Students to learn the judicial system through a hands-on experience and gain an understanding of society's approach to dispute resolution and justice through an experiential learning opportunity.
